Mindfulness Note | The Path to Greatness
Greatness comes from being obsessive about the tasks at hand and being maniacal about the smallest details. The great Kobe Bryant said it best:
“If you want to be great in a particular area, you have to obsess over it. A lot of people say they want to be great, but they’re not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve greatness. They have other concerns, whether important or not, and they spread themselves out.”
Our consistent positive momentum most certainly looks like magic for outsiders, but for those who have been following us for the past years, they are fully aware that our performance is built on consistent hard work with intense attention to the smallest details.
Legendary UCLA coach John Wooden added that “ It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.”
You can read about John Wooden’s pyramid of success here. You can read more about Kobe’s obsessiveness here; however, if you really want to capture the essence of his otherworldly level of obsession that led to his greatness, you should read the following story.
Obsessing over the smallest details makes greatness inevitable.
We are fortunate to have assembled a group of obsessives, which is why we are delivering beyond exceptional performances week in and week out.
Let’s keep pushing.
